Annual Leave, Short Holiday, Casual Leave and Emergency Leave

Acceptance and approval of all the leaves and Holidays depend on Approval by Head of Department and that on availability of staff.

We have two Consultants out which only one can go on holiday or short leave with the approval of the other.

Similarly we have two Specialist Second On-Call, out which only one can go on holiday or short leave with the approval of the other.

We have Five First On-Call, out of which only one can go on Holiday, with the approval of other four, so that four Residents remain all the time, Except in an Emergency Situation Second one can take a short Emergency Leave in this situation Three Resident will remain in the Hospital. Emergency Leave should be supported with a Document.

All First on call should manage their duty as first on call meaning thereby that Second on call will not step down to cover the first on call.

Similarly Second on call should manage their duty as second on call and will not be covered by third on call.

Holidays of less than 5 working days can not take Friday & Saturday if the the doctor is on call on these Friday and Saturday.

Holidays of less than 10 working days can take one Friday & Saturday before holiday if connecdted to holiday.

Holidays less than 15 working days can take both Friday & Saturday befor Holiday and after Holiday provided Both weekends are connected to the holiday and provided no other doctor in the same category goes on holiday immediately after the first one connecting the Week-End between the two.

If two Doctors in the same category Go on Holiday consecutively one after the other with Friday and Saturday in between, then the doctor going on holiday first has the right to take the Friday & Saturday in betweenas Holiday, while the second Doctor should cover the on-call or any other work on this Friday and Saturday and confirms the return of his colleague before going on holiday.

Holidays for 15 days & over, may take the two Fridays and Saturdays if connected so also any public Holidays in between. Again if another colleague is going on holiday immediately afterwards then any holiday or Friday & Saturday in between the two will be given to the doctor going on holiday first.

If the first doctor does not come back in time, the second doctor should cancel his holiday or postpone till he confirms the arrival of the first doctor.
